We work with many different providers of accommodations. Each provider has a different way of working. With some providers you will receive the deposit back immediately if you leave the accommodation in good condition. If the deposit needs to be paid in cash, we would like to advise you to always ask for proof/receipt. Other providers will refund the amount to your credit card or bank account after the accommodation has been checked.
If you pay the deposit by credit card, a pre-authorisation is often required. With a pre-authorisation, the money is not actually debited from your account. The money is only reserved. This reservation is released as soon as your accommodation has been checked and everything is in order. Are you unsure whether you have received your deposit back? First, check your bank statement. There should be no debit, and the reservation should no longer be visible. If you still see a reservation or debit, please contact us via the contact form and send us proof of payment
It also happens that you have to sign a form that gives the provider the opportunity to debit an amount from your account if the accommodation is not left tidy. It is good to ask at check-in how the provider of your accommodation works. Then you know what to expect upon check-out.
